Enhancing Schools

OASES are all experts in outdoor learning and global sustainability education.
Research has shown that Outdoor Learning is about:

‘raising achievement through an organised, powerful approach to learning in
which direct experience is of prime importance’ (Ofsted, 2008)

Experience has also shown that learners who struggle within the confines of the classroom often excel outdoors. In an increasingly urban and technological world, where parents are scared to let their children ‘out to play’, the need for outdoor learning has never been greater.

OASES provides schools with advice and support on all aspects of outdoor learning, from improving the school grounds to using them through:

• School Grounds Development
• Improving School Grounds
Gardening
• Play

Sustainability Education, prepares today’s children for tomorrow’s world. No one can tell what the future will hold but with population figures constantly rising and some global resources already in short supply, issues like Climate Change to be faced and rainforests still under threat our children have a lot of problems to face.

OASES staff can help pupils and teachers understand Sustainability issues and the potential solutions. Schools often ask OASES staff to assist them with: Eco-Schools support; Energy Saving advice; Water Conservation; Transport and Trade; Waste Reduction and Recycling Education.

In an increasingly global world Global Learning is becoming ever more important. Our team of Global Consultants can offer advice and training on everything from The Rights of a Child to Global Equality and Diversity.
