With the help and support of various partners and sponsors OASES runs an annual programme of Family Events.  Please see below forthcoming events:-

Natural Explorers - Saturday 17 June, 1.00pm – 3.30pm

Come and enjoy some fun and games inspired by the natural environment. Share the things you enjoyed around a campfire. Under 8s must be accompanied by an adult. Children £5

‘The Most Boat’ parent & child weekend - Saturday 15 July & Sunday 16 July, 10.00am – 4.00pm

Make the ‘most boat’ you can from a single sheet of plywood using basic d.i.y. skills. The one-sheet skiff can carry a small adult or young person and can be paddled, rowed, even sailed or driven by a small electric motor with a bit of imagination. Over two days you will mark up and cut the component parts, fix together the sides and transom and attach the bottom to create a perfect small boat for still waters. Test-launch on Sunday and then take home (on a roof rack) to paint with ordinary domestic paint. Suitable for children over 8. There are only 4 places on this course so booking is essential at least 2 weeks in advance to ensure it runs. Please ring or email for further details and to pay a deposit. £180 per boat

Autumn volunteer day - Saturday 14 October, 10.00am – 3.30pm

Join our regular volunteering event. This session will concentrate on improving and changing parts of the permissive access to Harehope Quarry. Refreshments and a light lunch provided.

Pumpkin Pentathlon - Saturday 28 October, 2.00pm – 3.30pm

Following on from our successful Pumpkin Roll we will be doing a Pumpkin Pentathlon so get your pumpkins growing! Further details to follow.  £2 per entered. Refreshments available.
