Stone Age Day with Witton Gilbert Primary School

Reception and year 3 pupils from Witton Gilbert Primary School spent the day on Seaham Beach exploring aspects of Stone Age life with OASES. The children built mini stone villages, looked at the importance of flint for Stone Age man and even cooked on an open fire. The children enjoyed knapping their own flint tools and making a spark with a flint and steel.

"Excellent, well managed, lots of resources and activities planned appropriate to both year 3's and reception. A wonderful, memorable day for all involved. Thank you!"- Mrs Quiney, Witton Gilbert Primary School.
