OASES Active Learning

OASES, Active Learning facilitates deep learning and inspires curiosity by taking the curriculum outdoors to engage pupils in new and innovative ways.

‘Learning Without Limits’

The OASES, Active Learning model has been developed to inspire all children but it is particularly effective at engaging those children that struggle to learn.

Why not contract OASES to provide a wonderful day (6 hours for £300) or half day (3 hours for £175) of outdoor delivery for your pupils?  We will promise to provide a fun packed day of outdoor learning and discovery, enhancing curriculum topic delivery in an engaging and enlightening manner.

ACTIVE LEARNING SESSIONS, AUTUMN 2016

Active History - The Stone Age
Explore what life was like in pre-historic times: learn to light a fire like Palaeolithic man; create tools like a Mesolithic hunter; model forms with clay like a Neolithic settler.

Active Geography - Rainforests
Would you survive in the Amazon?  Test your survival skills and knowledge: build a hammock, sanitize water and see if your group survives in our Amazon survival game.

Active Maths - Problem Solving
See your children: apply their knowledge of shapes to build a free standing bridge; solve a range of stick puzzels; work out the height of a tree with only a pencil, a 30cm rule and a piece of string.
