OASES is the sole concern of the North East Environment Network (NEEN). NEEN's articles state that we will:
- Promote and encourage the protection, preservation and improvement of the environment of the North East of England for the benefit of the public, and
- Promote the advancement of education of the public concerning the environment, its conservation and protection and related subjects.
OASES are consequently, constantly looking for opportunities to enable schools and settings to access outdoor learning and global sustainability education opportunities for FREE or at a reduced cost.
We have worked with numerous organisations, from Children in Need to Northumbrian Water and Durham University, to engage schools in everything from tackling plastic pollution to climate change.

This year OASES staff have done everything from assisting schools to plant trees within their grounds to running teacher training on how to incorporate gardening into lesson delivery.
