Shelter Design and Build
From mini shelters to super large group constructions, learn how to design and create the perfect shelters for different circumstances and the forces at play. Suitable for Year 1 - Year 6. Curriculum links: Design & Technology

Tool Use and Creation
Assist in making a mallet then use it to create rustic book covers. Discover why cricket bats are made from Willow and olden day arrows were made from Birch or Pine. Learn about the tools that we use to fashion wood and how to handle it for the best results. Suitable for Year 1 - Year 6. Curriculum links: Design & Technology. This session requires 2 OASES staff.

Beach Session - Den Building
Can you make a waterproof shelter for you and your friends to hide under?  Learn how to use sand anchors and create your own den on the beach. Suitable for Year 1 - Year 6. Curriculum links: Design & Technology, science (chemistry - materials, physics - forces)

Beach Session - Stranded on a Treasure Island
Follow the treasure map to find the treasure, learn how to create a sea anchor, make a den and have a go at creating a campfire. Suitable for Year 1 - Year 6. Curriculum links: Design & Technology, geography (maps and geographical features)
